Momentum’s national office has helped us to arrange a training session on Sunday 14 May that will give members the skills and confidence they need to take part in Labour’s General Election campaign. The session will take place between 11am and 1pm at the Crookes Social Club, Mulehouse Road, S10 1TD.
If you want to bring a non-momentum member they can sign up on the day for just £1
The training is suitable for both new and experienced activists. It will cover the basics of door knocking, how to find common ground with voters, how to talk about Labour Party policy, linking policy to the issues that matter to people, and how to answer challenging questions. The session will be very active and participatory, while also providing practical advice and materials to use when campaigning.
After the training, we’ll have a chance to put what we’ve learnt into practice as we go out campaigning in the Hallam area. The Hallam constituency is particularly significant as a marginal seat and also because Labour’s candidate, Jared O’Mara, is a Momentum supporter himself!
Momentum has also put together some written advice for campaigners that you can find here.
